Sacred Carols
"The joy of the Nativity through song."
Good Morning to Santa Claus
A rhythmic call to the spirit of giving and celebration.
Good morning to Santa Claus! Do you give us or don't you give us? With the joy of the holy evening May the light shine upon this house.
Refrain
"Do you give us or don't you give us?"
Rhythm
Spoken in anticipation of the feast.
The star rises high above,
Bringing tidings of great love.
Do you give us or don't you give us?
Open wide the golden doors.
Open the Door, Christian!
Welcoming the Nativity into our hearts and homes.
The Invitation
Open the door, Christian! For today the Savior comes to your threshold.
"Open the doors of your soul, as we open the doors of the church."
Glory to God in the highest!
"Behold, the Virgin brings forth the Eternal King in the humble manger."
Peace on earth, goodwill to all!
"The shepherds run to see the wonder, and the angels sing the new song."
Rejoice, for Christ is born today!
Caroling
"With the joy of the holy evening, may the light shine upon this house. We bring you news of great joy, for a Savior is born in Bethlehem."
As the caroling party moves from house to house, the message remains the same: Christ is Born! Glorify Him! The tradition of caroling is not just a song, but a shared liturgical act of the community reaching out to one another.
